Tyms allows you to manage customers and the services you provide to them using Projects. Projects help you organize work, track financial performance, and monitor progress from start to finish.
With projects on Tyms, you can:
Track expenses incurred on behalf of a customer
Monitor revenue earned from a project
Analyze overall project profitability and progress
Projects are commonly used across industries such as SaaS, Real Estate, Advertising, and many others to streamline operations and reporting.
How to Create a Project on Tyms
Follow the steps below to create a project on Tyms.
Step 1: Log in to Your Tyms Account
Visit the Tyms application and log in to your account: https://app.tyms.io/auth
Step 2: Navigate to the Projects Module
From the dashboard, go to the Projects module
Click New to create a project
You can choose one of the following options:
Create a project manually
Import a project
Step 3: Create a Project Manually
Click Project to start manual project creation
Step 4: Enter Project Details
Provide the required project information below:
Project Name: Enter a clear and descriptive name for the project.
Example: 3-Month Advertising Campaign , Housing ApartmentsProject Value: Enter the estimated or agreed value of the project.
Example: USD 10,000,000Description: Describe the scope of the project and the services being rendered.
Project Group: Select the appropriate group or category the project belongs to.
Revenue Recognition: Choose how revenue should be recognized:
Full Completion: Revenue is recognized only when the project is completed.
Percentage of Completion: Revenue is recognized based on project progress. Example: Revenue is recognized when the project reaches 70% completion.
Step 5: Configure Additional Options (Optional)
Click Show More Options to access additional project settings:
Start Date: Select the project start date
End Date: Select the expected completion date
Client: Assign the project to a specific customer
These options help improve project tracking, reporting, and financial analysis.
