How Resilience17 and Odysy moved from QuickBooks to real-time reporting

Resilience17 is a venture studio and fund investing in African startups. Its spend management platform, Odysy, issues physical and virtual cards to businesses and individuals and lets them transact in different currencies. That makes for complex financial activity, and a real need for reliable, accurate reporting.

The team was on QuickBooks. It was functional, but much of the work, from posting to reconciliation, was still manual. Advanced features such as AI, automatic bank feeds on the dashboard and multi-currency came at a higher cost.

They went looking for a more affordable, AI-driven accounting tool that would streamline their processes and give them faster, more accurate reporting, and chose Tyms.

Folasade's favourite part is the dashboard, which shows the company's financial performance and position in real time. She also gets a weekly summary of transactions by email, so she doesn't have to log in to stay on top of things.

Resilience17 now uses advanced features at a much lower price than its previous accounting software, and Tyms supports its tax and audit work as well.

With less time spent posting manually, the team spends more time analysing its financial records and making better business decisions.
